Floyd Mayweather Jr. is undefeated in the boxing ring. But, the undefeated champ is ready to battle again, this time against kickboxing star, Tenshin Nasukawa.

Per BJPENN.COM., the RIZIN Fighting Federation fight is set to happen on New Year’s Eve at Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

“I want to continue to build my relationship with Money Team Tokyo,” Mayweather said during the press conference. “I want to continue coming over here and bringing other fighters over here so my company can continue to grow and RIZIN can continue to grow.

I would love to continue to work with RIZIN because RIZIN is an unbelievable company, and my company, we’ve been making some huge fights happen in the US, but we look forward to taking the Mayweather Promotions banner and the TMT banner worldwide. And if it takes working with a great guy like this, there’s no problem.”

The news was announced during Rizin 14’s press conference:

In the big scheme of things, the news is a big announcement as Mayweather is retired. However, a couple of months ago, he stated at some point this year, he was going to fight against Manny Pacquiao again. With an official announcement, it seems Mayweather’s focus is on handing Nasukawa his first loss.

As a kickboxer, Nasukawa is 27-0 and is the current RISE Featherweight Champion. Despite being 50-0, Mayweather may have his hands full in this bout depending on the rules. At the moment, the rules of the fight are not set in regards to boxing rules, kickboxing, or MMA.

Regardless of what rules get used, come Dec. 31 one of the undefeated champs will get his first loss. Will it be the seasoned boxing vet or the up and coming kickboxing phenom?

Mayweather Jr. posted the following on his Instagram account about the fight:

Instagram will load in the frontend.

More details to come.
