Even with tonight’s win by the Golden State Warriors over the Houston Rockets, there’s a looming cloud hanging over the 2-time defending champs: the health of their star Kevin Durant. While he is scheduled to have an MRI later on today, Durant will most likely miss the remainder of the Western Conference Semifinals, multiple sources tell The Ball Out. There’s some faint, but optimistic belief, that Durant could return for a possible Game necessary, but it’s highly likely, and probably wishful thinking, sources say.

Durant has been on a tear recently, and with his health compromised, for the time being, this could have huge ramifications with their series against the Rockets. Can the Warriors beat Houston without Durant? We are about to find out.

Stay tuned as this story develops.
