Los Angeles, CA — If you are looking for a fresh take on a classic monster movie, “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” is definitely a good movie to watch.

“Godzilla” is filled with a bunch of short stories of suspense and clues leading to the bigger picture and unexpected plot twists in the movie involving the movement of the Age of the Titans, staring Millie Bobby Brown playing the lead role of Madison.

The daughter of a scientist mother (Vera Farmiga) and involved father (Kyle Chandler) with an estranged relationship. “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” starts off at a quick pace. The audience is soon introduced to the main Titan known as Godzilla. Madison and her mother agreed to work together on the rise of the Titans. Without giving too much away… there are many plot twists and turns involving numerous Titans emerging from different locations of the worlds causing mayhem on society as a whole.

Madison, witnessing so much death and destruction while being so young, adds complexity to the plot as well as relation to the audience regarding the tragedy of mankind’s impact on our youth. The animation is off the charts incredibly well done and amazingly, it really does feel like at any moment Godzilla could encroach on the cinema and just take over. The R rating is definitely for a reason, though there are no uncomfortable nude intimate scenes, which is always key to know if you are looking for a family film that you have yet to see.

There are, however, some suspenseful heart-stopping action scenes taking place rather quickly. There are surprises, deep-rooted past traumas and dramas that loop full circle into the story of the Titans (Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan and the three-headed King Ghidorah). Each tie in with its own unique set of complexity and characteristics, making for a very dynamic monster movie.

I highly recommend this film to anyone who loves the tale of Godzilla, or the idea of humankind creating a species more powerful than ourselves. And anyone who is a fan of Millie’s won’t be disappointed by her performance in this major motion Warner Bros. picture. Not only is she convincing, but she takes you on a journey of an innocent mind getting corrupted by bigger picture traumas that are navigated by those older than her.

I highly recommend this movie to anyone looking for an action packed film to enjoy this summer.
