Minneapolis, MN — The Northern Vogue Fashion Show by Niche took over Minneapolis, on Thursday night at the beautiful W Minneapolis – The Foshay. A variety of designers displayed their unique, diverse pieces, in what was a night to remember.

The show falls behind Spring/Summer collections from numerous designers. The modern, urban street-wear style played a huge role in the show. Way the Label is a standout venture by graduates from the University of Minnesota. Students combined their skills and designs to create an easy to wear, but detailed look for women. The super edgy style strutted beautiful combinations that were made for the runway.

The night was rocked with a purpose. Many special guests were honored to play a part in the show. DJ Mad Mardigan (official DJ for the Timberwolves) set the atmosphere with music that created a vibe to fit each individual look, and designer. Tying together what type of style was being produced, the vibrant energy was carved into a perfect night.

Dress for Success played a major role in the event that was held. They’re a network of people who work with women to break down the continuous hardship of poverty, coming together by empowering women to be financially independent. In addition,  they offer professional clothing for employment, along with skill development programs for low-income women to help build career stability and be recognized with respect.

“[Dress for Success] Not only changes lives but creates a world where women are treated more equally,” shared Stephanie Silvers on the organization.

The Northern Vogue Fashion show was put on by many volunteers, and 10 percent of the proceeds raised from the event were benefited Dress for Success Twin Cities.

The crowd got even more involved when they were allowed to purchase a variety of the pieces straight off the runway. Minnesota-made jewelry including Goodrich Grand and Gretchen Ventura. Footwear from Greenwich Vintage Co. and accessories from Pursey Handbags were all available to be shopped immediately following the show.

After the event, guests were able to mingle with the designers and with each other.
