All season long players in the WNBA have been making history. Last night, Los Angeles’ Candace Parker made more history. With a free-throw early in the game, she notched 5,000 career points. She is now the 20th player in league history to reach the milestone.

Parker is arguably one of the hardest players to stop in the league. She can post up down low, or step outside and drill the triple. Even being 6’4”, Parker can handle the ball with the best guards in the league.

In the Sparks win over Phoenix, she also notched a near triple-double with 14 points, 14 rebounds, and eight assists. Parker now has a total of 5, 010 career points.

Currently, her team is sitting in third place as the regular season starts to wind down. Parker and Los Angeles will hit the floor again on Wednesday at New York.
