LOS ANGELES, CA — With the NBA and NHL seasons on a temporary hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the LA Clippers, LA Kings, Los Angeles Lakers and STAPLES Center have joined forces and established a financial support fund for all hourly staff impacted by the suspension of sporting events at the arena.

The fund was created to provide compensation for the lost wages of employees who cannot work due to the suspension of the Clippers, Kings and Lakers games through the early part of the spring (as of press, there is no word as to when the seasons will resume).

More than 2,800 active hourly staff, ranging from ushers and parking attendants to stagehands and housekeeping will receive financial assistance from this fund, which was a collaborative effort by all four organizations.
