Seattle, WA — Imagine being on a yacht, sitting across from someone you love watching the sunset over Lake Washington. The scent of your freshly prepared dinner wafts through the air as you sip the perfect beer handpicked to complement your meal. Sounds too good to be true, right?

Well, it’s not!

If you’ve been looking for the perfect Seattle date night, Waterways Cruises and Events has you covered.

I had the privilege of attending their evening dinner cruise with Georgetown Brewing Company, Washington’s largest brewery, which included a three-course dinner paired with GB beers to complement the flavors in the meal. On top of an excellent meal, the view was exceptional.

I had the privilege of attending their evening dinner cruise with Georgetown Brewing Company which included a three-course dinner paired with GB beers to complement the flavors in the meal.

As we took our seats, rosemary bread with butter awaited us at our table along with Roger’s Pilsner beer, pan-seared scallops and Beecher’s cheesy grits which they accompanied with their classic Manny’s Pale Ale.

For our main-course we had a bone-in pork chop covered in a sweet-and-tangy tomato sauce paired with my favorite beer of the night due to its strong floral and citrus notes, the Lucille India Pale Ale.  However, the highlight of the evening had to be dessert, a large mouth-watering slice of sour cream coffee cake covered with honey whipped cream, paired with their 9-pound Hammer, delicious porter with hints of coffee and chocolate.

Altogether, the meal was to die for and the experience was flawless thanks to the impeccable service from the staff at Waterways Cruises.

In addition, if you’re a fan of Georgetown Brewery, you’ll be excited to hear that after 14 years of serving draft-only beer they’re jumping into the can game this year. With the exception of their classic Manny’s Pale Ale, you can now buy GB beers in cans to enjoy at home! Also, Seattle-locals be sure to keep a look out because around mid-June, the brewery will be opening up their doors for customers to sit down inside and enjoy a pint!
