Saniya Rivers, a freshman for the National Champion South Carolina Gamecocks, has entered the transfer portal.
This is something we mentioned in The Ball Out Insider weeks ago as we were hearing this was coming from multiple sources.
Rivers was the No. 3 overall recruit for the Class of 2021. This season the freshman played in 27 games, where she averaged 12.9 minutes per game, 2.3 points per game, 1.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and shot 24.5% from the field this year.
Right now, we expect North Carolina, NC State, and Tennessee to be schools involved when it comes to Rivers, sources tell The Ball Out. However, with her fantastic talent, it’s no telling how many other schools will attempt to get involved.
