Jeffery Toobin, a reporter for the New Yorker, has been suspended. The news comes after he exposed himself during a Zoom meeting with members from the New Yorker and WNYC radio.
“I made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera. I apologize to my wife, family, friends and co-workers,” Toobin stated in a statement. “I believed I was not visible on Zoom. I thought no one on the Zoom call could see me. I thought I had muted the Zoom video.”
Natalie Raabe confirmed the suspension in a statement from the New Yorker:
“Jeffrey Toobin has been suspended while we investigate the matter.”
Outside of reporting for the New Yorker, he also is the chief legal analyst for CNN. The network announced a few days ago Toobin had requested time off which was “granted” to him.
