Calgary, AB– Day 2 of Country Thunder Alberta was AMAZING! It would be a much clearer day as there wasn’t any rain like day 1. However, like day 1, day 2 was as equally unforgettable.
As soon as I arrived, the vibe in the audience was so much fun. Everyone was SO excited to be there. People were dancing, drinking, and enjoying the presence of everyone around them. I felt like the thousands of people there were like my family.
Everyone was there for a good time, and a good time they were given.
The day 2 lineup put on an absolute show. You had star-studded performances from top to bottom beginning with Greg Albright and The Not So Brights. They would then be followed by Shawn Austin, Hunter Brothers, Jordan Davis, Lauren Alaina, and Jake Owen closed out day 2.
I literally do not have enough good things to say about the night! Alaina literally had the crowd at her fingertips. She brought everyone in with her awesome voice, wittiness, real life stories. Yet, what had to be the staple of her performance was that she invited a fan up on stage with her!
I have never seen someone so happy in my life as the two danced on stage and serenaded the crowd. It was a moment that not only he will always remember, but everyone else as well. The crowd continued to show Alaina love as a fan in the audience brought her a bouquet of flowers. So cute!
Alaina’s performance was so awe-inspiring. However, we weren’t done with great performances. It was Owen’s turn to take center stage and create moments with everyone in attendance.
Owen’s headlining had me hooked by the first note. I have been a huge fan of his for years, and tonight, he put on the most incredible show I have ever witnessed!
His stage presence was out of this world. His band and entire setup was exceptional. He moved around that stage with such ease and purpose, and he didn’t even wear shoes. He engaged with the crowd so well, taking selfies with people on their phones and signing autographs.
It was a good day to be a Owen fan!
Throughout the evening, there was NO shortage of memorable times. This is a night everyone will remember forever. Leaving the event, it was non-stop talk about how incredible the evening was.
I suggest everyone PLEASE make sure they catch a Country Thunder event once in their lives. It was unforgettable. Day 3 here we come!
Country Thunder Alberta Day 3
Today was incredible. I’d be hard pressed to recall an event in recent memory that would even hold a candle to Day 3 of Country Thunder Alberta.
Sunday started out with Leaving Thomas (I LOVE their song Blame It on the Neon). Next we had Roots & Boots, followed with Jimmie Allen, Terri Clark and finishing off with the one and only, Jason Aldean.
As the sun began to set, Aldean made his debut on stage. His ability to engage with the audience was second-to-none. The vibe within the crowd began to drastically shift as his charisma and energy completely took over. His performance and ability to captivate those in attendance was out of this world, and his voice sounded incredible as ever.
Moreover, I can’t forget about Clark. She sang an immense amount of country classics that had me singing the entire time.
Generally, people don’t usually go out for a time like this on a Sunday evening. But this night without a doubt had to send everyone into their week refreshed, and more energized than what a good night sleep could’ve accomplished.
Country Thunder Alberta completely blew my expectations out of the park. This experience was out of this world.
