Clippers’ Beverley adds gas to Lakers rivalry

If anything, you can’t say that Los Angeles Clippers guard Patrick Beverley isn’t interesting.

Former NBA first-round draft pick and current BIG3 player Royce White was interviewed by Fanatics View earlier in the week regarding his time in the NBA, and in the interview the topic of current NBA free-agent Carmelo Anthony was brought up. White sounded off in a bit that garnered attention from every major sports outlet.

Watch the response below:

For those who don’t follow basketball regularly: LeBron James plays for the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron and Carmelo are also close friends, and there had been rampant speculation for the last year that Melo would end up in a Lakers uniform. When the opportunity came up this summer, the Lakers instead signed free-agent Jared Dudley.

Beverley then responded to this with a tweet of his own:

Now whether Beverley is agreeing with what White had to say or staying neutral, no one may ever know. But those who have followed Beverley know that he can be very polarizing on the court.

So this for sure will definitely get the attention of LeBron James, whom he has had some recent beef with.

This Clippers-Lakers rivalry this season is going to be a fun one to watch.
