Luke Walton — the new head coach of the Sacramento Kings — is being sued for sexual assault. Kelli Tennant, a former L.A. sports reporter, is filing the lawsuit stating Walton assaulted her back in 2017 when he was an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors.

According to one report, Tennant stated Walton pinned her down to the bed, kissed and groped her despite her screaming to stop. She said he let her up but forced himself against her again as she walked toward the door before finally allowing her to leave the room.

The Athletic’s Sam Amick stated the following on Kings’ statement regarding Walton’s new:

“We are aware of the report and are gathering additional information. We have no further comment at this time.”

More to come as this story develops.
