LOS ANGELES – Wednesday marked Media Day to promote the big January 19 title fight between former four-division world champion Adrien Broner, and WBA Welterweight World Champion Manny Pacquiao.

Broner and Pacquiao both discussed their thoughts on the upcoming fight and showed fans how they prepare for the ring. Along with his co-trainer,
7-time BWAA Trainer of the Year Freddie Roach, the current WBA “Regular” Welterweight World Champion joined the media at the Wild Card Boxing gym, where he expressed his emotions about the fight.

“I’m not thinking lightly for this fight,” Pacquiao said. “I’ve just been focusing on my training, just making sure that we’re in 100% condition for the 19th. I will do my best and do the same thing as my last fight.”

Roach believes Pacquiao is ready for this match-up and is confident Pacquiao is in 100% condition.

“I always say this, when Manny first came here, his speed and power are just unbelievable together and I do believe he can have a knockout. He’s ready to go,” said Roach.

As for Broner, the media met up with him and trainer Kevin Cunningham at the Ten Goose Boxing Gym where Broner showed out his bling and proceeded to emphasize that he is ready to take on Pacquiao.

“I’ve been training my ass off. That’s it. Training. Eat, sleep, boxing,” Broner said. “I know as long as I do what I do, the money is going to be there. The first round, they’re (the haters) going to see.”

Cunningham repeatedly commented on how focused Broner is and said, “As long as Manny does what Manny does, it’s going to be a great night for Broner.”

Fans will soon see if Pacquiao’s best is good enough, and if Broner is well prepared for whatever Pacquiao has in store. The match will be showing Live on SHOWTIME PPV from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, January 19.
