Dez Bryant will be back in the NFL after not signing since being released by Dallas. The veteran wide receiver has signed a one-year contract with the New Orleans Saints.

“Dez is a great player. Dez was a great player in this organization for a long time. Really happy for him and that opportunity,” shared Cowboys coach Jason Garrett on Bryant’s signing. “I know it’s important to him. He wants to finish his career strong. He’s done such a great job for this organization and been an impact player in this league over the course of his eight years playing. Seems like a real good opportunity for him. I know he’ll help their team.”

Despite being at the top of the league, New Orleans is short at the wide receiver position. In fact, the Saints only have Michael Thomas who has over 12 catches this season.

With momentum on its side, Bryant could continue to keep the winning streak going if he can be a reliable receiver.

The signing comes just days after Bryant went through a workout with the Saints.
