Los Angeles, CA — Los Angeles Fashion Week continued Thursday night as designers — including Project Runway alum and celeb favorite Michael Costello —showcased their dazzling designs among local fashion elite at the iconic Majestic Downtown.

Costello, a hit with celebrities from Beyoncé to Jennifer Lopez, wowed the crowd with vibrant looks from his gypsy-inspired Gitana SS19 collection. The designs, previously seen at New York Fashion Week, encapsulated Costello’s characteristically glamorous aesthetic while adding an effortlessly chic sophistication.

Flowing gowns and breezy capes took the spotlight with bright and bold patterns that perfectly captured the Roma gypsy spirit. Male models wore whimsical patterns of draped jumpsuits and glittering swimwear that inspired audible “oohs” and “ahs” from the audience.

Costello’s powerhouse show kicked off the first of 30 shows from this season’s LA Fashion Week. The five-day event, powered by Art Hearts Fashion, spotlighted the hottest designers in the Los Angeles fashion community.

Thursday night designers, including Costello, Nathalia Gaviria, George Styler, and Candice Cuoco, showcased their dynamic designs among a room full of stylish fans, photographers, and influencers. There were celebs spotted included model and Real Housewives star Joanna Krupa, singer Lexy Panterra, fashion blogger Yilena Hernandez, and YouTube star Kandee Johnson.

The event also featured an art gallery, two red carpets, a photo booth, and a cocktail hour with hosted beverages from several sponsors.
