VMAS: Pre-show performers announced

The VMAs are only nine days away and the show continues to announce all the great talent gracing the stage on Aug. 28. Dove Cameron, Saucy Santana, and Yung Gravy will all be performing during the pre-show.

Hosted by Nessa and Kevan Kenney, the “VMAs” Pre-Show will be airing LIVE on Sunday, August 28 at 6:30 PM ET/PT on MTV or via MTV’s Twitter account.

Joining other first-time nominees and performers, Dove Cameron has been nominated for her first award in the “Best New Artist” category. Furthermore, this will be her first VMA’s pre-show performance.

Currently, the MTV Global PUSH artist for August is Saucy Santana. He will be performing his new single “Booty” during the pre-show. And last but not least, Yung Gravy — known for his RIAA certified platinum hit “Mr. Clean” is sure to rock the VMAs pre-show stage.

On top of the pre-show performers, the VMAs also announced the social categories to vote for. From Aug. 22-25 on MTV’s Instagram, fans can vote for “Group Of The Year”. The eight nominees are as follows:

BLACKPINK, BTS, City Girls, Foo Fighters, Imagine Dragons, Måneskin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Silk Sonic.

Also, “Song Of The Summer” fans can vote on Instagram from Aug. 25-27 for the following nominees:

Bad Bunny & Chencho Corleone – “Me Porto Bonito”
Beyoncé – “BREAK MY SOUL”
Charlie Puth – “Left And Right (feat. Jung Kook of BTS)”
Doja Cat – “Vegas (From the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack ELVIS)”
Future ft. Drake, Tems – “WAIT FOR U”
Harry Styles – “Late Night Talking”
Jack Harlow – “First Class”
Kane Brown – “Grand”
Latto x Mariah Carey – “Big Energy (Remix) ft. DJ Khaled”
Lizzo – “About Damn Time”
Marshmello x Khalid – “Numb”
Nicki Minaj – “Super Freaky Girl”
Nicky Youre, dazy – “Sunroof”

And not to be left out, “Album Of The Year” can be voted on via social media as well. The nominees for this category are as follows:
