At 5:45 AM in Las Vegas, police arrested 34-year-old Jon Jones only two hours after his Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Jones was arrested on two charges; misdemeanor battery domestic violence and felony injuring and tampering with a vehicle. Specific details have not yet been released.

According to inmate records, Jones is in custody and making his first court appearance on Saturday in Clark County. According to reports, he’s being held on a 12-hour hold, and bail is set at $8,000.

This may come as a shock to some- however, Jones is quite familiar with run-ins with the law.

In 2012, he avoided jail time for a DWI. Then again in 2015 he was involved in a hit and run with a pregnant woman. In 2016, he had a very publicized argument with an Albuquerque police officer. Lastly, in 2019 Jones pleaded no contest to a battery charge for allegedly harassing and slapping a waitress.

Although he has a pretty lengthy wrap sheet, Jones recently said on Friday that he is in one of the best places mentally of his career. Revealing his training schedule was more consistent than ever.

Jones said, “ Right now, for the first time in my whole career, I’m actually training consistently,” Jones said. “… I feel in better shape now than I ever did before. I’m sleeping better, eating better, drinking less – alcohol – and I feel really good.”
