Ben Simmons wants out of Philadelphia.

Since the 76ers were eliminated in the playoffs, news has been circulating stating his time in Philly was over. Many outlets pointed to the lack of his jumper not being consistent, while others stated maybe Philadelphia just wasn’t the fit for him.

Today Simmons told the front office he doesn’t want to be with the team and won’t be reporting to training camp, per CBS Sports.

“In a meeting with the 76ers last week in Los Angeles, Simmons told team co-managing partner Josh Harris, president of basketball operations Daryl Morey, general manager Elton Brand and coach Doc Rivers that he no longer wants to remain a Sixer, according to multiple sources.

Sources said the three-time All-Star also does not intend to report to training camp.

A team spokesman declined to comment.”

Furthermore, for weeks there have been rumors on where Simmons could land. While there have been reports of trade talks occurring, none clearly have been accepted. Potential landing spots for Simmons have included Golden State, Toronto, and Minnesota to name a few.

Last week it was speculations Simmons wanted to be in California. That leaves the Warriors, Sacramento, LA Clippers, and LA Lakers are potential teams for him to join.

More to come as the story develops.
