Times are changing in Philadelphia. Carson Wentz, who has been the Eagles’ quarterback since he was drafted in 2016 (overall #2) has been traded to the Indianapolis Colts.

Philadelphia will get a 2021 third-round pick and a conditional 2022 second-round pick in the trade. However, the second-round pick can be turned into a first round. In detail, if Wentz plays at least 75% of the offensive snaps for the Colts, the 2022 conditional pick will be upgraded to a first-rounder.

With Wentz heading to Indianapolis, he will be reunited with head coach Frank Reich who was the offensive coordinator for the Eagles in 2016, 2017.

Furthermore, with Wentz officially gone, now the starting position will go to Jalen Hurts who as a young quarterback has shown promise.

With the acquisition of Wentz, the Colts will assume the balance of his $128 million extension which includes the $10 million guaranteed roster bonus due March 19.

The trade can be officially processed on March 17.
