Minnesota’s Malik Beasley sentenced for felony case

Malik Beasley, the Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard, was sentenced to 120 days in jail. Beasley pleaded guilty to one felony count of threats of violence from back in Sept. His attorney, Steven Haney, believes the Minnesota guard could serve his time at home as a part of a work-release program. will stay at home confinement. In addition, Beasley is expected to serve his time after the NBA season.

“We are very pleased with this outcome that will allow Malik to continue working on becoming a better person and making better choices,” Haney stated in a press release.

Prosecutors agreed to drop felony drug charges under a plea deal that Beasley took. Beasley was facing a felony for controlled substance and receiving/concealing stolen property charges nearly five months ago.
