A British Newspaper writer published portions of a private letter that Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle wrote to her father. The letter came after her marriage to Britain’s Prince Harry. She asked the British judge to pushback the invasion of privacy lawsuit Thursday. Markle’s request was granted which now will delay the trial for nine months.

Originally, the trial was set to start in a few months on Jan. 11. The judge’s decision comes after a private hearing was held in London.

As reported by the Huff Post, Judge Mark Warby stated he the reason behind postponing the trial is “confidential”. However, the official date for the trial has not be announced, only it will now be in the fall of 2021.

Markle sued Associated Newspapers and the MailOnline website after because they published her handwritten letter. The letter was actually intended for her father, Thomas Markle. However, the Associated Newspaper disagrees with the proceeding.
