The Los Angeles Clippers picked up another big man to prep for their playoff push, adding 13-year veteran center Joakim Noah to the team on Monday.

In a statement released early Monday, President of Player Operations Lawrence Frank praised Noah’s intensely competitive nature.

“Joakim is a relentless competitor and a proven winner,” said Frank. “His experience, acumen and toughness fit well in our locker room.”

The 6’11”, the 230-pound center gives the Clippers some extra muscle beside Montrezl Harrel and Ivica Zubac. Noah, who is no stranger to the postseason, is a two-time All-Star (2013, 2014) and Defensive Player of the Year (2014). Noah last played for the Memphis Grizzlies in 2018-19, averaging 7.1 points, 2.1 assists, and 5.7 rebounds in 42 games.

For his career, Noah has averaged 8.8 points, 2.8 assists and 9.1 rebounds in 667 games with the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks and Grizzlies.

Noah is the second addition the Clippers have added in the last couple of weeks to improve its bench production. The team recently signed Reggie Jackson.
