Earlier this year, actor Alec Baldwin charged with involuntary manslaughter. The charges came after the gun he used on set for the film “rust” fired, killing the film’s cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins.

As of today, Baldwin’s attorneys have confirmed the charges have been dropped.

Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro, his attorneys, released the following statement on the news:

“We are pleased with the decision to dismiss the case against Alec Baldwin and we encourage a proper investigation into the facts and circumstances of this tragic accident.”
