One of the most highly-touted recruits in the country, 5-star point guard Madisen McDaniel, is set to take an official visit to Tennessee this weekend, multiple sources tell The Ball Out.

McDaniel is a dynamic guard who has already made a name for herself in high school basketball, winning MaxPreps Maryland High School Girls Basketball Player of the Year for the 2022-23 season.

Additionally, 6-foot guard Lexi Blue also visited Tennessee unofficially, making this a weekend to remember for the Lady Vols.

Madisen McDaniel a.k.a Kyrie Irving

Madisen McDaniel’s visit to Tennessee is highly anticipated, as she is considered one of the top guards in the country. McDaniel, who currently plays for Bishop McNamara, helped her team capture the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference regular season title.

For the season, she averaged 18.6 points, 5.4 assists, 5.2 steals, and 4.3 rebounds per game. Her skills and abilities have earned her a spot as the No. 18 player in the country by ESPN.

McDaniel’s game is a true spectacle of versatility. In a recent interview with Sh3GotGame, the basketball star revealed that she draws inspiration from her favorite WNBA and NBA. No wonder why she is such a force to be reckoned with on the court!

From Sue Bird’s impressive facilitating to Chelsea Gray’s unbeatable scoring, Kyrie Irving’s killer finishing and handling, and Chris Paul’s unstoppable mid-range ability – McDaniel has got it all covered. Her exceptional skills and world-class talent make her one of a kind.

Lexi Blue takes unofficial to Tennessee.

Along with McDaniel, Lexi Blue also visited Tennessee on an unofficial visit earlier this week. Blue is a highly-rated recruit, ranked No. 33 in the country by ESPN.

A 6-foot guard, Blue has a well-rounded game and would be a great addition to the Lady Vols’ backcourt. With Kaniya Boyd already committed to Tennessee, adding McDaniel and Blue to the roster would create a dynamic and explosive backcourt for years.

Tennessee is making a strong push to recruit some of the top players in the country. With McDaniel and Blue visiting, as well as other top recruits, the Lady Vols have a great opportunity to build a strong team for the future.

This weekend’s official visit for Madisen McDaniel and unofficial visit for Lexi Blue are both exciting developments for the Lady Vols. With these two highly-touted recruits and other top players visiting Tennessee, there is a lot of potential for a strong 2024 class.
