Horston helped cement her legacy this past season with the Lady Vols, becoming only the second player in program history – alongside Alexis Hornbuckle – to record over 1,000 points, 700 rebounds, and 400 assists throughout their career. Her achievements earned her a first-team All-SEC selection, and she led the team in scoring with 15.6 points per game.
Jordan Horston’s illustrious career with the Tennessee Lady Vols has solidified her place as one of the best collegiate players of this generation. Her name will certainly pop-up in many conversations as we approach the 2023 WNBA Draft. There is no doubt that she will make an impact in the professional league and further bolster her already-impressive resume as a stand-out player.
In what was her last game at Thompson-Boiling arena, Horston made a shape of a heart with her hands as if to say to Lady Vols’ faithful, “you will always be in my heart.”
Jordan Horston and the WNBA
Horston’s size and unique versatility make her an ideal fit in the WNBA. At 6’2″ with freakish athleticism and a huge wingspan, she has the length to defend multiple positions. In addition, Horston is a great ball-handler and passer for someone her height who can run the point or play off the ball at shooting guard or forward.
She also possesses an impressive jump shot that makes her a threat from beyond the arc, giving her the ability to space out opposing defenses.
