Nipsey Hussle’s family finally got some type of closure today. After being gunned down by Eric R. Holder Jr. in 2019, many of Hussle’s family and friends were waiting for the day they got justice. Well, today was the day as Holder was sentenced to 60 years to life in prison today by Superior Court Judge H. Clay Jacke II in Los Angeles.

Holder was found guilty back in 2019 for the first-degree murder of Hussle. The late rapper was outside his clothing store, the Marathon in South Los Angeles. Following the trial, Holder was also convicted of two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter and two counts of assault with a firearm; the gun he fired hit two other men at the scene who did survive.

Holder and Hussle grew up with the same background in the LA area, both having aspirations to be rappers, but only Hussle’s career took off.
