Then after meeting with Miller in secret, they fired Neighbors, that says a lot, doesn’t it?

1:37 p.m. ET.
- Update on Kim Caldwell firing Samantha Williams. This was very unprofessional at how this was handled, and to be frank, very shady. Here are details that only those at the Insider can get. Caldwell met with Williams on Monday of this week, and basically gave Williams the implication that she was going to be kept on. So immediately, they went to work recruiting, specifically in the portal. As many know, Caldwell has no contacts and connection to elite portal kids or recruits, so she leaned into the relationships that Williams has for over 20+ years in the industry. So Caldwell started calling recruits in the portal and the 2025 class that Williams had built relationships with. Basically, it looks like Caldwell attempted to be shady and use Williams, and once she got Williams’ recruits, then fire her. We will have more later, but the Caldwell tenure is off to a very bad start.
10:58 a.m. ET.
- New Tennessee head coach Kim Caldwell has decided to not retain recruiting coordinator Samantha Williams, sources tell The Ball Out. A surprising decision, as Caldwell has no experience on the elite level.

10:23 a.m. ET:
- One name that can be eliminated from Tennessee is Marquette’s Megan Duffy. Duffy has landed a job elsewhere, we don’t know where yet. However, we do know Duffy won’t be the next head coach at Tennessee. We think it’s Miami for Duffy, but we aren’t 100% sure just yet.
- Kelly Graves could be in some serious trouble at Oregon, as sources tell The Ball Out that almost the rest of the team is entering the portal, which could force Graves out. The reason that players have waited so long is that Oregon schools are on a quarter system. So kids wait until the end of the quarter to go into the portal, so they don’t lose their scholarship and getting their last check.
