The Chicago Sky have been on the hunt for a new head coach since August after firing Amber Stocks. Sources close to the situation have informed the Ball Out, that James Wade is rumored to be the next head coach for the Chicago Sky.

Wade comes to Chicago after coaching as an assistant coach for years. He has spent time with the Minnesota Lynx, BLMA (France), the now debunked San Antonio Stars, and UMMC Ekaterinburg (Russia).

While this will be Wade’s first year as a head coach, he does bring a championship pedigree after being under Cheryl Reeve in 2017 when Minnesota won the WNBA Championship. He also was a scout for UMMC when the team was crowned the FIBA EuroLeague champions. When Wade was an assistant for BLMA, the club won its first-ever championship as well.
