Thursday evening, Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers ended with tempers flaring — and one player being fined.

The Cavaliers’ Tristan Thompson was ejected from the game with 2.6 seconds left in the contest. However, he failed to immediately leave the court, therefore he has been fined $25,000.

Instead of leaving the court following being kicked out of the game, Thompson shoved the ball in the face of Golden State’s Draymond Green.

Despite being fined, Thompson had his Flagrant 2 foul – which he received after contesting a shot by the Warriors’ Shaun Livingston with a couple ticks left on the clock – has now been downgraded to a Flagrant 1 after being reviewed by the league’s office.
