Westfield, Indiana — Today ended day four of the Indianapolis Colts training camp. In Grand Park, just over 70 athletes put their football pads on and put on a show.

Veteran quarterback Andrew Luck and wide receiver TY Hilton, made promising appearances in today’s camp.  Though the veterans use camp to put the oil back in their gears before the season starts, the other players use camp to get the last roster spots.

The Colts’ 2019 first-round pick, Rock Ya-sin, made his presence be known as he caught two interceptions, one thrown by Luck. Rookie Parris Campbell made some noise with his one-handed catch over Ya-Sin in the end zone before he left with a hamstring injury.

Amongst the athletes were also players trying to find a permanent home in Indiana. Cornerback Jalen Collins, who has played two seasons for the Atlanta Falcons, is looking to have more of a presence this year with the Indianapolis Colts.

“I know what to do. I’ve been here before,” said Collins. “Gotta go out there and minimize mistakes.”

A Sunday in July sounded like a Sunday in September. With the play calls from the coaches, and the whistles from the refs. The sound of the pads crushing into each other and the sound of great, executed plays filled the air. Fans cheered and music played. One of the iconic songs that played was “Lose Yourself” by Eminem.

With only one shot to impress the coaches, Collins said, “ That’s what this is all about. I got to make the most out of each play.”

Collins, along with many other Indianapolis Colts hopefuls, made the most out of each play and will continue to as camp continues and with the preseason just a couple of weeks away.

Monday is their off day but camp will resume on Tuesday at 9 a.m. ET.
