It’s that time of the year where there’s so many changes — and movement — happening in college basketball, especially when it comes to coaches. However, this might be one of the biggest stories, and it comes out of the women’s basketball world. According to multiple The Ball Out sources, it’s looking like Holly Warlick will not be returning as the head coach of the Tennessee Lady Vols.
One source stated that it was virtually all but done, and they put it at about “90%” that Warlick has coached her last game in Knoxville. There are a multitude of things that have led to the likely termination of Warlick, and some of it is not of her own doing: internal staff conflicts, tension amongst teammates, etc. We will lay out more at another point in time.
With Warlick likely on her way out, here are two names that are being looked at as potential replacements:
- Tina Langley, Rice head coach
- Kellie Harper, Missouri State head coach.
Stay tuned as this story develops.
