Update: Tom Herman denies Jeff Snook report:
After placing head coach Urban Meyer on administrative leave involving the 2015 domestic violence incident between former wide receivers coach Zach Smith and wife Courtney Smith, Ohio State has launched their own investigation.
The story that has led to this investigation was broken by former ESPN reporter, Brett McMurphy. However, there were those that wondered who could’ve tipped McMurphy off on this story?
The answer may have been found.
Buckeye insider Jeff Snook took to Facebook on Saturday saying that he’s confirmed that Texas head coach Tom Herman was the man that tipped off McMurphy.
Herman worked under Urban Meyer as Ohio State’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2012-2014.
Prior to this post, Snook had dropped a bombshell earlier in the week after speaking with the mother of Zach Smith and the mother of Courtney Smith. In his report, also posted on Facebook, Zach Smith’s mother alleged that Courtney Smith vowed to “take down” her husband and Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer.
If Herman tipped off McMurphy, what could’ve been his motivation?
We’ll continue to update you as more information comes out in the coming weeks.
