NFL stud J.J. Watt announces retirement

Athletes are becoming more creative with ways they are announcing they are retiring thanks to the advancement of social media, now plenty of athletes are using the platform to state they are leaving the game behind. Today, JJ Watt of the Arizona Cardinals announced he would be retiring at the end of the season.

Watt used a cute picture of his family – his wife and newborn son – to state he would be leaving the NFL after 12 years in the league.

The defensive end has played the last two season with the Arizona Cardinals, after playing his first 10 in the league with the Houston Texans. In Houston, he was named the Defensive Player of the Year three times.

Watt’s final game in the league will be when Arizona travels to San Fransisco to play the 49ers on January 8.
