As we first reported late last night, Texas A&M hired Georgia head coach Joni Taylor to replace Gary Blair. Now the Lady Bulldogs are in the market for a new head coach, and they have already zeroed in on someone. Georgia plans to hire Ole Miss head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin, multiple sources tell The Ball Out.
Sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity told The Ball Out that Georgia has verbally offered the position to McPhee-McCuin. And although it’s not officially done yet, the deal is expected to be done later today as long as there is no snag in negotiations.
McPhee-McCuin just finished her fourth season with the Rebels and led them to the NCAA Tournament.
