LaMelo Ball, the NBA’s frontrunner for Rookie of the Year, is expected to miss the remainder of the season for the Charlotte Hornets. Ball suffered a broken right wrist but is seeking a second opinion to determine if he will be sidelined the rest of the year.

Ball suffered the injury in last night’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. He fell on his shooting wrist and was injured in his thumb area. On the year, the Hornets’ rookie has averaged 15.9 points, 6.1 assists, and 5.9 rebounds. Currently, Charlotte is sitting in eighth place in the Eastern Conference.
