No. 21 Missouri State was expected to play Bradley today in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. However, after a positive case in Tier 1 personnel for Bradley last night, the administrators at Missouri State decided the team would no longer move forward with playing in the tournament.

“Our top priority is to be able to play in the NCAA Tournament,” Missouri State athletics director Kyle Moats said in a release. “Our players lost that opportunity last year with the pandemic and the cancellation of the postseason. We have to ensure that our players and our staff get that opportunity this year.”

On the year, the Lady Bears are 16-0 in league play, 21-2 overall, and were the No. 1 seed in the MVC tournament. As Selection Monday inches closer, Missouri State is projected to be a No. 5 seed in the NCAA tournament by ESPN’s Charlie Creme.
