As reported by the Los Angeles Times, Tiger suffered a shattered ankle and both broken legs, a compound fracture in the accident.

Legendary golfer, Tiger Woods, was seriously injured this morning after his car rolled over. His car was the only vehicle involved in the crash and he was the only individual in the car.

“Tiger Woods was in a single-car accident this morning in California where he suffered multiple leg injuries,” his agent Mark Steinberg stated. “He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support.”

Tiger was taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for surgery which is also a trauma center. According to reports, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department had to extricate Tiger from his car using the “jaws of life”.

There is an ongoing investigation into determining what caused the crash. Per CNN, Tiger was unable to walk at the scene of the accident but he was conscious.

What is known is Tiger was wearing a seatbelt when he crashed and his airbags did deploy. Carlos Gonzalez, a member of law enforcement stated Tiger was going at a relatively fast speed and there were  “no skid marks, no braking [and that] the first contact was with the center median, from there then crossed into the opposing lane of traffic, hit the curb, hit a tree, and there was several rollovers during that process.”

The road Tiger was driving on was a steep downhill slope.
