Jiaozuo, Henan – A kindergarten teacher poisoned 25 students which resulted in the death of one of them. The poisoning happened because Wang Yun wanted to take revenge on another staff member, Yun has now been sentenced to death by the Jiaozuo Intermediate People’s Court. Also, they established that Yun and the kindergarten manager will have to compensate for the damage caused to the respective families of the children.
Prior to the attack, Wang had discussed with a member of the Jiaozuo kindergarten how to handle students between the ages of three and six.
A court in central China’s Henan province said that on the morning of March 27, 2019, the teacher added sodium nitrite to the mash – supplied by the school – of the students of the other teacher with whom she argued. Last year’s news reports said children began vomiting and fainting after breakfast as a result of being poisoned.
The Jiaozuo Intermediate People’s Court – in Henan province – described Yun’s motives as ‘extremely bad’ and that she should be ‘severely punished’.
Moreover, in 2017, teacher Wang had been caught using the same method to poison her husband on another occasion. On that occasion, Wang poured nitrite into a cup used by Feng, causing him minor damage.
At this time, Wang has received the death penalty for the crime of using dangerous substances.
