New Orleans, LA — Today was an unforgettable day as I had the chance to cover the Super Bowl LIX festivities in New Orleans. The city was absolutely buzzing, with stars from every corner of the football world showing up and showing out, from NFL legends to some of this years highest draft picks. The day kicked off with some exciting interviews and podcasts, where I had the privilege of hearing from Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter.

Shedeur Sanders, who’s celebrating his birthday this week, is a standout quarterback with a bright future. He’s a potential top-five pick in the upcoming NFL draft, and the fact that he’s being mentored by none other than his father, the legendary Deion Sanders, who is also his coach, speaks volumes about his potential. What better way to spend your birthday than in the city of New Orleans surrounded by football celebrating the biggest game in the sport.

The stars just kept coming, as I had the opportunity to chat with Malik Nabers, former LSU star wide receiver, who just wrapped up his rookie season with the New York Giants. Nabers was energetic, excited to be back in Louisiana and when asked to describe his rookie year in one word, he simply said, “electrifying.” His rookie season was nothing short of impressive, setting multiple records including Most Receptions by a Rookie WR in a Single Season (109), as well as the Fastest WR to Reach 100 Career Receptions. It’s clear that this young man is destined for greatness.

Another highlight of the day was talking with Pat McAfee, former NFL player turned sports media personality. We shared a fun conversation and even debated whether Jayden Daniels or Joe Burrow would be the better choice for QB. But it wasn’t all debate—Pat also shared what makes New Orleans so unique and special to him.

As we approach Super Bowl Sunday, the energy in the city continues to rise, and the fans grow louder and more eager to experience the big game.
