Donovan Mitchell is no longer a part of the Utah Jazz. The Jazz has traded their starter to the Cleveland Cavaliers for a handful of players, three unprotected first-round picks and two pick swaps.
Utah will now welcome Lauri Markkanen, Ochair Agbaji, and Collin Sexton to its team. Sexton signed a sign-and-trade agreement by signing a four-year, $72 million fully guaranteed deal
Mitchell is a three-time All-Star who is joining a Cleveland team with strong, promising talent in Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen.
The Jazz will stay focused on its rebuild having traded Michell today and starting center Ruby Gobert earlier this summer to Minnesota.
This past season, Mitchell averaged 25.9 points per game, 4.2 rebounds, and 5.3 assists. Utah finished 49-33 this past season and made it to the Western Conference First Round before being eliminated by Dallas.
The Cavs finished 44-38 and did not make the playoffs last year.
