FBI searches Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property

Mar-a-LAgp, Donald Trump

Down in Palm Beach, Florida, former President Donald Trump has a resort by the name Mar-a-Lago, which was searched by the FBI on Monday. His resort was searched as a part of the investigation of the presidential documents that might have been brought to the property; some of those documents were classified.

According to one report, Trump was in New York when the search happened and stated, “they even broke into my safe,” in reference to the FBI.

“My beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” he shared on Monday.

Trump is actively being investigated by the Justice Department on two separate incidents from when he was President. Besides his involvement of handling classified documents, there is also an investigation on Trump’s effort to overturn the election and the insurgent on Jan. 6, 2021.

Per his attorney, Christina Bobb, the search was not announced. “President Trump and his legal team have been cooperative with FBI and DOJ officials every step of the way. The FBI did conduct an unannounced raid and seized paper.”
