Milwaukee, WI — Energy. What a word to describe tonight’s AEW Dynamite Event. From the time I stepped out of my car and walked to UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, the energy was contagious. People were lined up outside, just waiting to see their favorite AEW wrestlers.
It didn’t stop there, though, because, throughout the entire event, fans were out of their seat with their attention on all the AEW wrestlers and members of this elite group.
I had the opportunity to speak with some of the fans, and I asked them what their favorite part about being a fan of AEW was. All of them mentioned in some regard the family aspect that AEW provides to its fanbase. Even watching from home, you’re still able to feel the energy at the arena but also dive into the family at AEW.
Sports have a unique way of bringing people together with common interests, creating a sense of belonging. It truly is remarkable to see the engagement from the fans through their enthusiasm.
Some of my personal favorites were Orange Cassidy (“Freshly Squeezed”), Red Velvet, Chris Jericho, and of course, CM Punk. Tonight’s AEW Dynamite in Milwaukee was such a special event not only because it was rescheduled due to the pandemic, but it was also CM Punk’s first Dynamite experience.
As a competitor myself, I always love watching those competing at the highest level while also throwing in some entertainment.
And if the energy couldn’t be any higher, the arena erupted when MVP Finals Champion Giannis Antetokounmpo came running into the ring with a belt. Talk about the number of screams heard.
After stopping in Milwaukee, AEW’s next event is the annual ‘AEW All Out,’ which is on September 5th. The event will be at the Now Arena in Chicago and available on pay-per-view at 8 PM EST.
