Vivian Thoreen, the lawyer for the father of singer Britney Spears, broke the silence for Jamie Spears. Jamie has been in an ongoing battle with Birtney over her conservatory.
Jamie has been involved in Britney’s conservatory case since 2008 and even made an appearance in the well-known New York Times documentary Framing Britney Spears. During Thoreen’s interview, she answered questions about the #FreeBritney movement. The movement is a campaign that seeks to free the singer from her legal guardianship under her father.
“I understand that every story wants to have a villain, but people have it so wrong here,” Thoreen stated in an interview on Good Morning America on behalf of Jamie. “This is a story about a fiercely loyal, loving, and dedicated father who rescued his daughter from a life-threatening situation. People were harming her and they were exploiting her.”
In this same exclusive, the singer’s financial heritage and the role of her father have also been discussed.
In court documents, Jamie’s attorneys argued that when he first took over as guardian in 2008, the value of Britney’s work was valued at $2.8 million. Since he took over, he has been able to restore her finances to nearly $ 60 million in 2019.
