Actor Armie Hammer’s career has come under fire after a stream of allegations from
past partners has come to life. The 35-year-old has been in The Social Network, Call Me By
Your Name, and Gossip Girl. He is in the process of finalizing a divorce with former news
correspondent and entrepreneur Elizabeth Chambers. Chambers and Hammer have two
children together. A series of concerning DMs (direct messages) and text messages sent to multiple women have been released to the public.
His ex-girlfriend, Paige Lorenze is a 22-year old content creator who gave an interview
on the popular podcast “Sofia With an F.” recalled her traumatic relationship with
Hammer, citing emotional, physical, and psychological abuse as reasons she ended the
relationship. Lorenze told the podcast host Sofia Franklyn that she was immediately “replaced with another woman” after their breakup, and wanted to speak out because he would continue to find more victims.
Lorenze details the timeline of their relationship, from him pursuing her while she was clearly vulnerable from a recent breakup to the feeling of repulsion she felt after being forced to participate in acts out of her comfort zone. She recounts disturbing desires Hammer brought up to her and the power imbalance he has over the women he manipulates.
In a report by Mama Mia, Lorenze shared how Hammer allegedly used a knife on her in the bedroom.
“He basically tied me up and he was doing knife play… Knife play made me the most uncomfortable out of everything that happened. He looks over me and says, ‘Where am I going to put my initials on you?’ He chose a spot and did it. I remember it being uncomfortable and very painful but I honestly blacked out. I don’t fully remember how that felt in that moment because I was in so much pain.”
Hammer has also been dropped from his role in the Offer, which is a ten-part series
about how the masterpiece film the Godfather was made. He was also fired from his role in an upcoming Jenifer Lopez movie Shotgun Wedding. Earlier this month, a clip of Hammer resurfaced of him drinking and consuming an unidentified substance while driving. As more women come forward, as well as more stories from his behavior on and offset, it seems as though his career may be beyond repair.
