According to multiple reports, music artist Cardi B has asked her rapper husband, Offset for a divorce after three years of marriage. Cardi B initiated the divorce proceedings in an Atlanta court after the rapper allegedly cheated on her.
The celebrity couple has a 2-year-old daughter, Kulture Kiari. According to TMZ, Cardi B has asked for primary custody of their daughter and is seeking child support from Offset.
It is not the first time that rappers have parted ways over Offset’s infidelity. At the end of December 2017, a video emerged where he is seen with another woman. The rumor came out three months after they secretly married in September of the same year.T
The two have long experienced a series of ups and downs in their relationship as followers of the couple already know.
“When my husband and I had our problems, you know, he cheated on me and all that, and I decided to stay with him and work together with him,” Cardi B shared in a statement after his earlier infidelity back in an article by January in Vogue. “A lot of people were so mad at me. Many women were disappointed in me.”
Offset clarified that the couple had to work hard to get to a better place in their relationship.
“You have to follow different steps and things so that we can grow,” he told The Breakfast Club. “However, not on television, behind that, knowing each other, knowing who they are with and appreciating them in every way. Because that one mistake made me appreciate her.”
