Finalist announced for Naismith Hall of Fame Class of 2023

Per reports, the list of finalist for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2023 has been announced. The list includes coach Gregg Popovich, former NBA players Dwyane Wade, Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol, Tony Parker and WNBA legend Becky Hammon.

During Saturday’s NCAA men’s basketball Final Four, a formal announcement will be made.

The enshrinement, which takes place in Springfield, Massachusetts, will take place on Aug. 12.

Wade:

Won 3 championships with the Miami Heat

NBA Finals MVP in 2006

13x All-Star

Olympic Gold Medal (2008)

Nowitzki:

No. 6 in the NBA’s All-Time scoring record (31,550 points)

League MVP (2007)

NBA Champion & Finals MVP for Dallas Mavericks (2011)

Gasol:

2x NBA champion with Los Angeles Lakers

6x All-Star

2x Olympic silver medalist (Spain)

Hammon:

6x All-Star

WNBA champion as a coach (Las Vegas Aces)

Parker:

3x All-NBA 2nd team

All-Rookie First Team (2002)

All-NBA Third Team (2009)

NBA Champion & Finals MVP with San Antonio (2007)

Popovich:

NBA’s All-time leader in coaching wins
