As of right now, we believe Tennessee is in the lead for the best player in the 2023 class. There are rumblings about South Carolina and LSU aggressively recruiting her, which they are, but we believe the Lady Vols are her No. 1 choice right now.

Lol! I’m not sure; I heard it could be in the middle of the month, but clearly, that has changed. She has a “handler,” so things can be tricky.

Any word on Velez? I know they were thought to be a package deal but she has been retweeted by LAdy Vols and talking to them on social.

We aren’t sure if they will take Valez by herself, to be honest. We don’t have this sourced, but from what all we have gathered and heard, they would be a package at Tennessee. Now, we could be wrong, but as of now, we aren’t sure they take Valez by herself. Although, they might as she’s outstanding in her own right.

I’m hearing September for her commitment, and right now, I believe Tennessee is still in the lead. Things can change as they always do in recruiting. But as of right now, I believe the Lady Vols are slightly in front.
