The NFL has found a somewhat unlikely ally in regards to their new anthem policy.
The ally…LaVar Ball.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, Ball said that while the NFL has gone too far in requiring players to stand for the anthem of face fines, he believes it’s the league’s right to create and enforce their own policies.
“It’s their league,” Ball said. “If you don’t want to do it, get out their league. That’s why I got my own league…do what I want.”
The league Ball is referring to is the JBA, his new junior basketball league that he plans to run himself. When asked about what his league’s policy is going to be, Ball was straightforward.
“I got some youngsters, man,” Ball said. “They going to do the anthem. They not going to be kneeling and doing all that.”
