Today has been one of the busiest — and most explosive — in quite some time in women’s basketball. But, first, Maryland starting PG Ashley Owusu announced this morning that she was transferring.
However, this was just a precursor of what was to come. Her teammate, Taisiya Kozlova, announced shortly afterward that she, too, would be entering the transfer portal. Then a stunner happened tonight as All-American sophomore Angel Reese also decided to leave the program. This is a devasting blow to the Terrapins, and there are rumblings that others could follow suit as well.
Early indications from The Ball Out Sources is that Owusu could be headed to South Carolina. Also, don’t be surprised if Reese goes to Louisville, sources tell us. Reese went to the same high school as Cardinals legend Angel McCoughtry. Now, we want to emphasize this is early, but that’s what sources are saying at this moment.
Other Rumblings
Ole Miss assistant coach Shay Robinson is leaving to go to another program, multiple sources tell The Ball Out. Sources also tell us that it will most likely be Ole Miss, even though Virginia Tech’s Kenny Brooks has spoken with Robinson as well.
