Tennessee lands top-PG target Jasmine Powell

Tennessee has been looking to add a top point guard for the 2022-23 season. Today, they got great news as they got a commitment from Minnesota transfer Jasmine Powell — the top point guard in the transfer portal. Powell entered the portal a month ago and was the Gophers’ second-leading scorer.

Powell will immediately upgrade the Lady Vols’ point guard position as she’s very explosive, has a great jump shot, and is a natural passer. Here are a couple of clips of her and one can see that her addition to Tennessee is a big deal:

Powell, who committed to the Lady Vols this morning, chose Tennessee over Louisville, Ole Miss, and Alabama.
